Juan Magan
Juan Magán closed the night of Friday, December 15, 2023 at Starlite Occident Madrid with his electro latino session, right after Sting’s concert. He was the first DJ confirmed for the after parties of the first edition.
The first DJ confirmed
Juan Magán’s name was announced in September 2023 as the first confirmation for the late-night sessions of Starlite Occident Madrid, the lounge area that extended every concert with DJ sets and themed parties. A regular at the festival in Marbella, the Badalona-born producer explained his bond at the time: “I’m one more son of Starlite Occident. We go back many years and I feel lucky to be part of this project that everyone speaks so highly of. I always want to come back, and we share a strong friendship.”
Electro latino after Sting’s concert
Once Sting’s show was over, the party carried on in the lounge area with the so-called king of electro latino. Juan Magán, known worldwide for songs such as “Bailando por ahí”, “No sigue modas” and “Verano azul”, got the crowd dancing with a set that blends Latin melodies with the intensity of electronic music, the formula that has taken him around the world. The announcement of his session also promised hits such as “Madrid a Marbella”, “He llorado”, “Como un niño”, “Te voy a esperar”, “Se vuelve loca” and “Usted”.
A meeting point in winter
The artist himself summed up what the festival means to him: “I spend the whole winter talking about Starlite Occident because it’s not just a festival, it’s a meeting point with a positive atmosphere where wonderful things happen.” His session was the second after party of the edition, following Oro Viejo by DJ Nano and ahead of Fedde Le Grand and the Blue Party by Michenlo. With Sting in the auditorium and Juan Magán in the lounge area, the second night of Starlite Occident Madrid sold out.
Juan Magán brought to Madrid the role he has played in Marbella for years: the party that comes after the concert.
