Lola Indigo
Lola Índigo played Starlite Occident Madrid on Monday, December 18, 2023 with the final concert of her “El Dragón” tour. The night also served to premiere the songs of her new album, “GRX”.
The last night of “El Dragón”
Lola Índigo was the last addition to the first edition’s line-up, announced in early November 2023 alongside Rod Stewart, Sting, Manuel Turizo, Carlos Rivera and Sebastián Yatra. The Granada-born singer came to Madrid as one of the fastest-rising figures in Spanish-language urban music, with three albums behind her, “Akelarre”, “La Niña” and “El Dragón”, and chose Starlite Occident Madrid to bring the tour of the latter to a close. The show rolled out large-scale costumes, make-up and choreography, and the auditorium sang along to anthems such as “El Tonto”, “Discoteka” and “Corazones rotos”.
“GRX” premiered, with La Zowi, Álvaro de Luna and El Yiyo
The artist performed the songs of “GRX” live for the first time, her most personal project, dedicated to her home region. She brought three guests on stage for it: La Zowi on “Ya tengo un novio”, Álvaro de Luna on “Mañana” and El Yiyo on “Mala suerte”. “La Niña de la Escuela”, “4 besos” and “Trendy” were there too, as were more recent songs such as “De plastilina”, “El Condenao”, “La Primavera” and “Si te vas”. It was a tour farewell surrounded by friends, driven by the euphoria of a mostly young audience that has made her one of the best-loved artists among the new generations.
In the audience
Those attending included Lola Lolita, Cayetana Guillén Cuervo, the artist Okuda San Miguel, Anne Igartiburu, Carlos Latre, Rayden, José Lamuño, Elio Toffana, Hamza Zaidi, Marlena and Begoña Trapote. The festival’s first Christmas edition in the capital thus reached its fifth night with the same pattern as every day: a concert in the indoor auditorium, a food offering with three-Michelin-star proposals in the box area and an after party in the lounge. Two dates remained, Carlos Rivera and Sebastián Yatra, to close a week the organisers were already describing as the meeting point of Christmas in Madrid.
Lola Índigo turned the fifth night of Starlite Occident Madrid into both a tour finale and a premiere: the end of “El Dragón” and the first live outing of “GRX”.
