Isabel Pantoja

Date: 26 DecVenue: Madrid

Isabel Pantoja performed at Starlite Occident Madrid on Thursday, December 26, 2024 with the show marking her 50 years on stage. It was the first concert of the final week of the second Christmas edition in the Spanish capital.

Half a century on stage at the winter edition

Isabel Pantoja’s confirmation was announced on October 29, 2024, together with Estopa’s, when the bill for the second winter season already included Alejandro Fernández, Vanesa Martín, Niña Pastori, Il Divo, Black Eyed Peas, Camilo and Taburete. The organisers presented her concert as a gift for those who have followed her music throughout her career: a show celebrating her 50 years on stage. The edition ran for twenty days, from December 12 to 31, in a venue twice the size of the 2023 one, with an indoor auditorium fitted with a sound system that delivers the same quality and volume to every seat.

Copla, ranchera and pop: “Así fue”, “Garlochí” and other classics

Isabel Pantoja has captivated several generations and has moved across a wide range of genres: the copla she started with, ranchera and pop. Her repertoire includes songs such as “Hoy quiero confesar”, “Se me enamora el alma”, “Así fue” and “Garlochí”, part of the musical memory of several decades in Spain and beyond. The anniversary show announced for Starlite Occident Madrid drew on exactly that catalogue, delivered with the powerful, emotional voice that has defined her since her early days. It was the first time the Seville-born singer appeared at the festival’s winter season in the capital.

The last week of the year at Starlite Occident Madrid

Isabel Pantoja’s concert opened the final stretch of the edition, after Christmas Day. The following night, December 27, Taburete closed its 2024 tour with a DJ Nano after party, and on Saturday the 28th Estopa gave its last concert of the year. On December 31 the festival held its first New Year’s Eve in Madrid, from 7 pm to 6 am, with a Hombres G concert, a Juan Magán after party, the traditional grapes and party favours. Throughout the edition, audiences could combine the concerts with new in-house restaurants, a Food Hall, Christmas shopping and a fine-dining offer for the box experience, the same format Starlite Occident runs every summer in Marbella.

Isabel Pantoja’s night at Starlite Occident Madrid brought together the anniversary of one of the great voices of Spanish song and the home stretch of the second Christmas edition.
