ARCHIVE/Marbella 2022
Camilo
Camilo played two nights at Starlite Occident Marbella, on July 31 and August 2, 2022. They were his fourth and fifth concerts at the festival in two editions, all of them sold out.
Five concerts in two editions
The year before, the Colombian singer had been the first artist to play three dates in a single edition of the festival, coinciding with its tenth anniversary. In 2022 he came back with two more. "We hold every night we have spent with you very dear. Having the chance and the blessing to do two more nights here is a privilege. Besides, last year my parents weren't here, but tonight my parents are here with me", he said on the first night, looking up at the presidential box, where his parents watched the concert with Sandra García-Sanjuán and Ignacio Maluquer.
"You are my tribe": the set for both nights
"You are a tribe. You are my tribe, so I hope you never feel alone, because you are part of this beautiful family that loves music", he said before starting with "Favorito". "Tutu", "No te vayas" and "Millones" followed, in front of an audience spanning several generations, with many whole families. Then came "Tattoo" and "Ropa cara", with "Manos de tijera", "Kesi" and "Vida de rico" kept for the encores. Camilo also premiered a song due for release in September, "De adentro pa' fuera", which gives its name to his album and tour: "It is about the longest journey a person can make in this world, and it is barely 30 centimetres: from the head to the heart."
Evaluna, "Índigo" and an anniversary
The most emotional moment came with "Por primera vez" and with "Índigo", which he sang with Evaluna. "A round of applause for Evaluna, my wife, the mother of my daughter", he asked. On July 31 the couple shared that it was exactly one year since they had found out they were going to be parents, and Camilo joked that if nationality depended on the place where one is called into existence, "Índigo would be from Andalusia". Anne Igartiburu, Carlos Latre, Luján Argüelles, Evangelina Anderson and bullfighter Víctor Puerto attended the first night; Paula Echevarría and Miguel Torres, the second.
Two more nights, two more full houses: in 2022 Camilo reached his fifth concert at Starlite Occident Marbella, this time with his parents in the box.
