Diego Torres
Diego Torres performed at Starlite Occident Marbella on August 12, 2022, to celebrate his 30 years in music. The Argentine artist went through his repertoire, dedicated a song to two friends in the audience and closed with "Color esperanza".
Thirty years of songs
"I am happy to be at Starlite Occident, celebrating 30 years in music and so many songs that have been a bridge between people and me. There is no better way to celebrate than singing here", Diego Torres said before going on stage. The singer, songwriter and actor, who has sold more than 20 million records, opened with "Sueños" and moved between rock, reggae, pop and ballads. "Tratar de estar mejor", "Penélope", "Usted" and "Amanece" were among the most applauded songs of the night.
A song for Valeria Mazza and Alejandro Gravier
Carla Pereyra, Valeria Mazza and Alejandro Gravier, friends of the artist, were in the audience. He dedicated a song to the latter two: "I would like to dedicate this song to a couple of friends I met a long time ago, and when I met them I thought: where will these two end up? They went very far, they have several children, they have been very happy, and every time I see them it is a pleasure". Of the festival he said from the stage: "It is a pleasure to be here, I am happy. This festival is incredible, with the number of international artists who have been on this stage… We have to support the work Sandra and her whole team are doing".
"Color esperanza", with the Auditorium on its feet
The song that made Diego Torres known in Spain came towards the end of the concert. The Auditorium sang and danced to it standing up, in a summer still marked by the pandemic years. The artist said goodbye with a "see you later" and the intention of returning to the festival soon.
Diego Torres chose Starlite Occident Marbella to celebrate three decades at his craft, and saved for last the song the whole venue had been waiting for.
