Juanes
Juanes performed at Starlite Occident Marbella on July 16, 2022, three years after his 2019 concert. The Colombian singer went down to sing among the audience and ended the night with "La camisa negra" and "A Dios le pido".
Back after the 2019 concert
Juan Esteban Aristizábal, known as Juanes, returned to the Auditorium before an audience that danced on its feet and sang throughout the show. "Being here again at Starlite Occident is an immense gift and a privilege. Thank you so much for inviting me, for the affection and for the opportunity", he said, visibly moved. Later, between songs, he added: "It makes me so happy to be with you tonight, it makes me so happy to come back to this magical place... I would stay here forever". He also had words for Sandra García-Sanjuán and Ignacio Maluquer, who, he said, "with so much effort and dedication have shown that another way of making music is possible and that dreams come true, but not just anywhere. They come true at Starlite Occident".
"Para tu amor" among the audience and "La camisa negra"
The concert opened with "El amor después del amor" and continued with hits such as "Volverte a ver" and "Es por ti". One of the most special moments came with "Para tu amor", when Juanes left the stage and sang surrounded by the crowd. In the final stretch came the opening chords of "La camisa negra", instantly recognised by the audience, and the closing song was "A Dios le pido". The artist received the Latin Grammy Person of the Year award in 2019.
Glamazonia, the party after the concert
Karen Martínez, Juanes's wife, model Valeria Mazza, Susana Alva of Efecto Mariposa and Gunilla von Bismarck watched the concert with their families. The night went on with Glamazonia, a themed party created for this edition that blends glamour with the Amazon rainforest. Fonsi Nieto was the DJ, and he said: "I have been coming to Starlite Occident since the first edition, and seeing the festival grow like this and do things so well is lovely". Marilia Andrés of Ella Baila Sola, singer Beret and Betis striker Loren Morón stayed on for the party.
Juanes said he would stay at Starlite Occident Marbella forever; he left after "A Dios le pido", with the Auditorium still on its feet.
