Leiva
Leiva played a sold-out show at Starlite Occident Marbella on August 17, 2022. The Madrid musician presented "Cuando te muerdes el labio" and returned to a stage he remembered for a very specific reason.
Back on the stage he was the last to leave
Leiva already knew the Nagüeles quarry, and said so from the start: "We're really happy to be at Starlite Occident. A few years ago my friends Carlos Tarque, Alejo Stivel and I put a band together and played a concert here. I remember that night very fondly; something happened that had never happened to me before, which is being the last one to leave. I hope something similar happens again tonight." His return came with every seat taken, one of the full houses of the summer at the Auditorium.
"Cuando te muerdes el labio" and the long-time favourites
The concert presented "Cuando te muerdes el labio", a 14-song album recorded in collaboration with Latin American women artists. Alongside the new material came "Terriblemente cruel" and "La lluvia", the song he wrote for the soundtrack of the film "La Llamada", and tracks such as "Flecha", "Guerra Mundial" and "Premio de consolación". "No te preocupes por mí" and "Como si fueras a morir mañana" drew some of the loudest applause. He closed with an extended "Lady Madrid", more a see-you-later than a goodbye.
Amaia Salamanca and José Tomás in the audience
Those attending included actress Amaia Salamanca and her husband, businessman Rosauro Varo; actress Cayetana Guillén-Cuervo; bullfighter José Tomás; Arancha de Benito and influencer Paula Ordovás.
Leiva had asked for a night like the one when he was the last to leave Starlite Occident Marbella; he got a full house and a "Lady Madrid" stretched to the very end.
