Luis Fonsi
Luis Fonsi played a sold-out show at Starlite Occident Marbella on August 22, 2022. The Puerto Rican artist alternated ballads and dance tracks in the year "Despacito" marked its fifth anniversary.
Two sides in one concert
"What a beautiful place and what an honour to be here at Starlite Occident again. I love this festival; thank you so much for giving us a sold-out night, I hope there are many more," Fonsi said at the Auditorium before starting. He opened with "Dolce" and "Date la vuelta" in front of an audience spanning several generations, and from there split the night between his romantic side and his upbeat one, with carefully designed lighting and effects.
"Ley de Gravedad" and five years of "Despacito"
He arrived with "Ley de Gravedad", his tenth album, a journey through several genres that keeps romantic pop at its core. His career includes five Latin Grammys, four Grammy nominations, five Billboard Awards, 12 Latin Billboard Awards and 17 Premios Juventud. The visit coincided with the fifth anniversary of the release of "Despacito", and the set also featured "Calypso", "Échame la culpa" and "Aquí estoy yo".
