Maluma

Date: 20 JulVenue: Marbella

Maluma performed at Starlite Occident Marbella on July 20, 2022, to a sold-out Auditorium. The Colombian artist presented his Papi Juancho show in a two-hour concert and recalled his first visit to the festival.

"Here dreams really do come true"

Maluma spoke about his relationship with the festival from the stage: "It has been more than 10 years of career and I remember as if it were yesterday the first time I came [...]. I was a kid. The years have gone by and the effort has been worth it; here dreams really do come true". Visibly moved, the singer from Medellín added: "Thank you, my people, for your support and your love. As long as you don't stop clapping, I won't stop singing. We are making history tonight".

Papi Juancho: from "Mala mía" to "Hawái"

"Mala mía" opened the concert, with the audience's phones held high to record the artist's first steps on stage. The set included songs from his fifth album, such as "Sobrio", "Mojando asientos" and "Madrid", alongside a run through the hits of his career, accompanied by choreography. For two hours the Auditorium worked as a dance floor. He chose "Hawái" to close.

An audience from many countries

Watching from the boxes were Princess Carla of Bulgaria, Dutch sisters Nicole and Bárbara Kimpel, Peruvian actress and singer Stephanie Cayo, Venezuelan actor Alejandro Nones, Argentine model Valeria Mazza with her husband, Alejandro Gravier, Cuban model Juan Betancourt and the Ambassador of Malta to Spain, Daniel Azzopardi. Bad Gyal, model Marisa Jara, Ana Verdasco, Marilia Andrés of Ella Baila Sola and actor José de la Torre also attended.

At Starlite Occident Marbella, Maluma remembered the kid he was the first time he stepped on this stage; in 2022 he returned to sell it out with more than ten years of career behind him.
