ARCHIVE/Marbella 2022
Morat
Morat performed twice at Starlite Occident Marbella in 2022: on August 8 and again on August 30, 2022, in the concert that opened the final week of the festival's eleventh edition. On that second night the band premiered an unreleased song.
Two nights at the quarry and five years of history
The Colombian band returned to the Nagüeles quarry three weeks after their first concert of the summer, on August 8. Morat had already played the festival in 2017, 2019, 2020 and 2021, making 2022 their fifth year. The musicians recalled it from the stage: "We are delighted to be here with you tonight, thank you so much for having us. Starlite Occident is where we started; here we have grown, lived, laughed and always given our best. It is an honour to be on this stage".
"Si la ves", premiered early
With a new album about to come out, the group decided to preview one of its songs. "Tonight we want to make an exception, we want to do something different, which is to get ahead of ourselves and sing you a song we love. Even if you don't know it, we would love you to listen", they explained before performing "Si la ves". The Marbella audience was the first to hear it live.
From "Besos en Guerra" to "Cómo te Atreves"
The August 30 concert opened with "Besos en Guerra" and went through "Porfa No Te Vayas", "A Dónde Vamos" and "Cuando Nadie Ve", all sung along by the crowd. The finale came with "Cómo te Atreves". Watching from the presidential box were Hernaldo Zúñiga and his wife Lorenza Azcárraga, Jaime and Marta Martínez-Bordiú, Pedro and Begoña Trapote, and Vicente Boluda with his wife, alongside Sandra García-Sanjuán.
Morat first played Starlite Occident Marbella in 2017, and by 2022 they needed two dates: the second one with a song that had not yet been released.
