ARCHIVE/Marbella 2022
Myke Towers
Myke Towers performed at Starlite Occident Marbella on July 14, 2022, during the festival's eleventh edition. The Puerto Rican artist, who had closed the previous edition, came back with almost an hour and a half of non-stop music.
From closing the tenth edition to the eleventh
Myke Towers had closed the festival's tenth edition a year earlier, and in 2022 he returned to La Cantera in Marbella. "Being here again at Starlite Occident is a privilege. The calibre of the artists who have come makes me feel like one of them. Tonight we are going to give our very best", he said moments before going on stage. The rapper and songwriter arrived with three nominations for the 2022 Latin American Music Awards and after being named, the year before, one of the ten most-streamed Latin artists on Spotify, with more than 25 million monthly listeners.
"Mírenme ahora", "Jeepeta" and a relentless set
The concert began with "Mírenme ahora" and kept up the pace until the end. "Girl" and "Relación rota" followed, along with a medley of "Pareja del año", "Madrid", "Ella no es tuya" and "Estamos arriba". "Jeepeta" was one of the high points of the night, and the set also included "Caramelo", "Diosa", "La playa", "Curiosidad" and "Bandido". Towers has collaborated with Luis Fonsi, Nicky Jam and Maluma, three artists who played the Auditorium that same summer.
Two fans on stage
The artist invited two fans who had sung every song to join him: "Come up, I can see you know them all". Before leaving he thanked the audience for their energy: "Thank you for tonight, I want to see you ready for when I release my new album. [...] I hope you had a great time tonight, see you again soon". Model Estefanía Luyk was in the audience with her children.
Myke Towers said goodbye to Starlite Occident Marbella by announcing a new album and promising to be back soon.
