ARCHIVE/Marbella 2022
Pablo Alborán
Pablo Alborán performed at Starlite Occident Marbella on July 9, 2022, to a sold-out Auditorium. It was his third time on this stage, after his 2018 and 2021 concerts, and the singer from Málaga was playing at home.
A third visit to a stage he calls home
The singer from Málaga had already performed at Starlite Occident Marbella in 2018 and in 2021, the year that marked both his ten years in music and the festival's first decade. In 2022 he returned to a full Auditorium and said he felt "very happy" to be back. He thanked the festival from the stage: "Thank you so much to Starlite Occident and to Sandra for bringing me here one more year. Thank you Málaga, thank you Starlite Occident, I love you".
From "Ecos" to "Llueve sobre mojado"
The concert combined the best-known songs of his career with those from his latest album. He opened with "Ecos", "Tanto" and "Tu refugio", which the audience sang from the start, and the set also included "Pasos de cero", "Saturno" and "Solamente tú". One of the most moving moments came when he sang "Tu refugio" a cappella. For the encore he said goodbye with "Te he echado de menos" and "Llueve sobre mojado".
Familiar faces in the Auditorium
The audience included Mexican actress Aislinn Derbez, known for her role in La Casa de las Flores, TV presenter Susanna Griso, model Valeria Mazza and actors Alejandro Nones and Jesús Mosquera.
Three concerts in five summers: Pablo Alborán filled Starlite Occident Marbella once again, just a few kilometres from his home town.
