ARCHIVE/Marbella 2022

Taburete

Date: 7 AugVenue: Marbella

Taburete performed at Starlite Occident Marbella on August 7, 2022, their fifth consecutive year at the festival. The night coincided with Paula Echevarría's 45th birthday, which she celebrated at the Nagüeles quarry.

Five years in a row at the quarry

Willy Bárcenas's band made 2022 their fifth consecutive appearance at the festival. "You have no idea how happy I am to be here one more year. When you walk out into a venue like this, with an audience like this, tiredness simply doesn't count [...], let's give ourselves a really good concert", the singer said. The set included "Entre tus piernas", "México D.F.", "Foto en blanco y negro" and "Madame Ayahuasca". "Abierto en vena" led into the band introductions, followed by "Walter Palmeras" and "Amos del piano bar".

An "especially family" concert

Bárcenas addressed the audience with a personal message: "This concert is especially about family. I see lots of families together, children, teenagers, couples, friends...". He recalled that his mother had always been in the audience at his concerts at the festival and that this time she had not been able to attend: "She can't be here now, but she will be back. So let's live every day as if it were the last, with the people we love and who love us. This song is for my people, for you". During "Mariposas" he came down from the stage to sing among the crowd. "Sirenas" and "Motel" closed the show, along with a wish: "See you next year at Starlite Occident. We want to go for a sixth year".

Paula Echevarría's birthday and the guests of the night

Jaime de Marichalar, José María Cano, Sofía Ellar, businessman Juan Abelló and Ana Gamazo watched the concert from the Presidential Box. Fabiola Martínez, Fiona Ferrer, Carla and Caritina Goyanes and actress Mónica Estarreado were also there. As in previous years, Paula Echevarría chose the quarry to celebrate her birthday with a dinner among friends, including her partner Miguel Torres, Carla Pereyra, Marta Carriedo, Ana Antic, Poty Castillo and Isabel Navarro, Fernando Sanz and Ingrid Asensio, Abel Matutes, César Cernuda and businessmen Enrique Riquelme and Kabir C. Sukhwani.

Taburete left Starlite Occident Marbella with a fifth visit behind them and a sixth already requested out loud from the stage.
