Anastacia, the queen of 'Sprock', conquered Starlite Occident Marbella on July 12, 2023, with her 'I'm Outta Lockdown 22nd Anniversary Tour' celebrating 22 years of career.
Third return of the voice mixing soul, pop and rock
The Starlite Occident Marbella Auditorium hosted the concert of one of the most prominent voices of the last two decades: Anastacia. The queen of "Sprock" —combination of soul, pop and rock, term coined by herself— offered a show loaded with danceable pills. Anastacia's popularity is based on her universal pop hits and her particular voice, always compared to legendary Black soul artists. She returned to the boutique festival from her 2015 and 2017 visits. "I'm very grateful to be here at this great festival, enjoying the music".
I'm Outta Love, Left Outside Alone and 30 million records
Throughout her extensive career she has sold over 30 million records and harvested numerous recognitions. 23 years of Anastacia with unforgettable songs like "I'm Outta Love", "Left Outside Alone" and "Paid My Dues". The American gave an energetic show, full of empowerment. She dared with Spanish using her phone translator, speaking with her audience between songs. She delighted with "I'm Outta Love", "Stupid Little Things", "You'll Never Be Alone" or "Everything Burns".
Who's Gonna Stop the Rain for a pregnant fan and a cappella finale
Her song "Who's Gonna Stop the Rain", not on the planned setlist, was sung at the request of a pregnant woman in the audience, dedicated to her baby. And "Left Outside Alone", one of her most acclaimed, she left for the end as an a cappella farewell. After the concert, Saiko triumphed at Sessions with "Supernova". The night featured an international audience, including familiar faces like actress Brigitte Nielsen and her partner Mattia Dessi, or Marta and Jaime Martínez-Bordiú.
With Anastacia, Starlite Occident Marbella confirms its Auditorium as the home of the great American pop-soul divas who have shaped the 2000s with their powerful voice and empowerment messages.
