On 29 July 2023 Andrés Calamaro came back to Starlite Occident Marbella for a second consecutive year. The Argentine rock legend revisited his greatest anthems at the Nagüeles quarry, a highlight stop of his world tour.

"Starlite Occident is the summit, not only for me but for any singer. It's the most premium and exclusive festival", he said. With 45 years of career, multiple Latin Grammys and huge popularity in both Spain and Latin America, his tour was touring Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay and Argentina.
Setlist with El Niño Josele as guest
He opened with "Cuando no estás", "A los ojos" and "Verdades afiladas", followed by "La parte de adelante", "Tuyo siempre", "Rehenes" and "Alta suciedad". Flamenco guitarist El Niño Josele joined him on stage: "I was touring in Los Angeles with Chick Corea, and I got a call from Paco de Lucía. He told me Starlite Occident was incredible and that I had to play there one day". Encores brought "Flaca" and "Crímenes perfectos".

Argentine faces such as supermodel Valeria Mazza, Carla Pereyra, polo players Facundo Pieres, Pablo Mac Donough and Clemente Zavaleta; Mexican actress Elsa Ortiz; bullfighter Gonzalo Caballero; journalist J.J. Santos celebrating his 63rd birthday at the festival; or comedian Juan Dávila. The Starparty afterparty closed the night at Sessions.
Few artists blend rebel rock, irony and charisma like Andrés Calamaro; Marbella enjoyed him again the only way Starlite Occident knows how to deliver.
