Fondo Flamenco returned after 10 years of retirement to Starlite Occident Marbella on August 11, 2023, with their awaited album 'Flamenkito Puroh', selling out the boutique festival.
The awaited return of the Sevillian trio after a decade
Starlite Occident Marbella presented Sevillian group Fondo Flamenco after ten years of retirement. Astola, Antónimo and Rafael Ruda came together for the first time on the emblematic Auditorium to be Fondo Flamenco again, one of the most acclaimed groups in our country. They delighted the audience with songs that have united different generations: "Mi Estrella Blanca", "Escúchame Mujer", "Tus muletas" and "El Misterio". The career started in 2006 with "Ojalá". Their debut "Contracorriente" and "Las cartas sobre la mesa" had great impact. After "Surología" (2012) they disbanded, returning in 2022 with the "Última cita" tour.
Flamenkito Puroh: revamped hits and three new ones
"Flamenkito Puroh" gathers their greatest hits revamped with three new songs: "Vuelve", "Dos días" and "Otra lenta", recovering the characteristic essence of the flamenco pop they're known for. With a sold out, Fondo Flamenco brought together at the Marbella cantera a nostalgic audience eager to enjoy the live show of their idols again. The reunion was followed with enthusiasm by their fans, who sang every lyric of a repertoire of flamenco pop anthems. The contagious energy in the air turned the night into a generational celebration.
Danny Ocean premieres with Me rehúso at Sessions
Enjoying the concert, comedian Carlos Latre, Rocío Flores, and Jaime and Bosco Martínez-Bordiú. After the Auditorium concert, the night continued at the Sessions stage with Danny Ocean's debut. The young Venezuelan is recognised worldwide for hits like "Me rehúso" released in 2016 and considered the most listened-to song of the last decade in Latin America and Spain, surpassing one billion streams. He presented his second album "@dannocean2" with hits like "Dembow", "Swing", "Fuera del mercado" or "Mónaco".
With Fondo Flamenco, Starlite Occident Marbella reaffirms its Auditorium as a space for the most awaited reunions of Sevillian flamenco pop that brings generations together under the stars.
