Malú
On 28 July 2023 Malú came back to Starlite Occident Marbella for her fifth show, with the "Mil Batallas" tour and a heartfelt tribute to her uncle Paco de Lucía. She brought her unmistakable vocal power and warmth to the Auditorium.
A career of awards and records
With 15 Premios Dial, five 40 Principales Awards, four Cadena 100 Awards, two Latin Grammy nominations, the Medal of Andalusia and an Ondas Award for Best Artist of the Year, Malú has been for decades one of Spain's most awarded and beloved voices. In 2014 she became the first female artist to sell out Madrid's Palacio de los Deportes four times in a single tour.
Setlist and tribute to Paco de Lucía
The setlist included "Toda", "A Prueba de ti", "Como una Flor", "Aprendiz", "Blanco y Negro", "Que Nadie", "Ahora Tú", "Vuelvo a verte", "Duele", "Siempre Tú", "Me quedó grande tu amor", "Te conozco desde siempre" and "A esto le llamas amor". Malú paid tribute to her uncle Paco de Lucía performing several acoustic songs backed by a guitar sextet, joined by Sevillian bailaor Farru.
Celebrities and afterparty with Javypablo
Among the audience, model Estefanía Luyk with her daughter Aroa, and soprano Angélica de la Riva. The afterparty featured Málaga duo Javypablo at Sessions, with hits like "Todo Chill", "Feliz" and "Paraíso". Andalusian president Juanma Moreno was there to enjoy the young duo's set.
Marbella lived one of those nights when tradition and modernity meet to remind everyone why Malú is, edition after edition, a must-see at Starlite Occident.
