Starlite Occident Marbella welcomed for the first time Mexican artist Marco Antonio Solís. With more than 45 years on the road, Solís has become one of the most important figures of Mexican and Latin music. Besides being a composer and performer, he is a music producer, actor and businessman. Artists like Raphael, Paulina Rubio and Enrique Iglesias have recorded his songs. With over 300 published songs and more than 20 albums, he has left an indelible mark. In 2022 he received the prestigious Latin Grammy Person of the Year award. "Starlite Occident, thank you for this beautiful opportunity," he said emotionally.

In his eagerly awaited presentation, Marco Antonio Solís captivated the audience with a selection of his greatest hits: "Si no te hubieras ido", "Más que tu amigo", "La Venia Bendita", "¿A dónde vamos a parar?", "Invéntame", "El Perdedor", "Si te Pudiera Mentir", "Tres Semanas" and "Cuando te Acuerdes de mí". Ballads, mid-tempos and rancheras rang out. With his unmistakable voice and passionate dedication, he remains a legend of Mexican music, bringing his art and emotions to every stage he steps on.

The magical atmosphere of this unprecedented date attracted numerous international personalities: Venezuelan actress Eglantina Zingg; Mexican artist Bibiana Domit; Bayer footballer Piero Hincapié; Spanish actress Bárbara Rey and Alejandro Albalá. After the concert, Juan Magán closed the night at Sessions with a complete sold out. Sandra García-Sanjuán, festival founder, was recognised that same week with the "Female Business Leadership" award from FEDEPE and the "Golden Brooch" from the Marbella Association of Professional and Business Women.
