On 26 July 2023 British-Lebanese artist Mika made his Starlite Occident Marbella debut with a colourful, sparkling, joyful show. "Starlite Occident is the most chic festival I've ever been to", he said before the concert.

Technicolor alternative pop

Since his 2007 breakthrough with "Grace Kelly", Mika has sold over 3 million records, often compared to legends like Elton John, Freddie Mercury or Prince. A Brit Awards and World Music Awards winner, and judge on The Voice and X Factor in the UK, he proved in Marbella why he is one of Europe's most renaissance pop artists.

Setlist and improvisations among the audience

The quarry became a dancefloor with "Lollipop", "Grace Kelly", "Happy Ending", "Relax, Take It Easy" and "Big Girl", where Mika appeared by surprise in the stalls. He repeated the trick in the upper seats to sing "Under Water": "Without doubt, this is one of the most beautiful places in the world. These are my angels and we are in paradise". His piano turned into a garden with the message "may your head always bloom".

Afterparty with Juan Magán and celebrities

After the concert, Juan Magán delivered his fifth Sessions set of the edition. Former footballer Joaquín Sánchez and chef Dani García enjoyed a great dance night at the festival.

Marbella fell in love with Mika's universe in a night of pop, spectacle and outdoor emotion.
