The most powerful voice of Spanish pop returns
Mónica Naranjo is acclaimed as one of the most powerful voices on the musical stage thanks to her wide vocal range and her presence full of power and passion. Her relentless vocal discipline and maturity have elevated her to iconic status, marking her international presence between Mexico and Spain. Her collaborations with Luciano Pavarotti, Mina, Rocío Jurado and Gloria Trevi, along with her symphonic and rock tours, have not gone unnoticed. "Starlite Occident has become a mandatory festival. Not just for artists, but for everyone. It's a meeting of art, culture and people who come to have a good time". In 2022 she first set foot on the Auditorium alongside Gloria Trevi.
Mimétika: from Palabra de mujer to the new work
With "Palabra de mujer" she achieved global success selling over 2.5 million copies in her first year, achieving the Diamond Disc. Throughout her career she has sold more than 10 million records and won three World Music Awards. Without seeking it, she has become an icon of women's rights and the LGBTQ+ community. At the Auditorium she presented "MIMÉTIKA" with songs like "Eterna", "Ey!" and "Sherezade", alongside classics like "Solo se vive una vez" and "Pantera en libertad". Her show closed with "Diva" as a golden finish.
Punto de Partida a cappella: farewell to Rocío Jurado
One of the most special moments was the tribute to Rocío Jurado. At the audience's request, Mónica Naranjo performed a cappella "Punto de Partida", the song she sang to the Chipiona singer in her last appearance at the "Rocío Siempre" gala. "I like to honour my friends and my favourite artists. This is a song I can't listen to. You know why. Because I miss her, without her it doesn't make sense," said the Catalan, who hadn't sung the song in four years. Her hits "Entender el amor", "Desátame" and the spectacular "Sobreviviré" closed a legendary night.
