Norah Jones
On 27 July 2023 Norah Jones made her Starlite Occident Marbella debut with a warm, elegant performance. The American singer and pianist, a nine-time Grammy winner, captivated the Auditorium with her timeless jazz-pop.
An international jazz-pop star
Since her debut "Come Away With Me" (2002), Norah Jones has sold over 50 million albums and her songs have been played more than six billion times. Her self-described "little moody record" swept the 2003 Grammys. Albums like "Feels Like Home", "Not Too Late", "The Fall", "Little Broken Hearts" and "Day Breaks" followed.
An intimate setlist at the Auditorium
On the magical Auditorium stage, Norah unfolded her talent at the piano with "Don't Know Why", "Sunrise", "Come Away With Me", "I'm Alive" and "What Am I to You?", among others. Her voice — shaped by the blues records she heard as a child — became the absolute centrepiece of the night, turning the quarry into an open-air jazz club.
That July night Marbella discovered why Norah Jones has popularised jazz: with elegance, warmth and a piano that alone holds an entire Auditorium.
