On 21 July 2023 Starlite Occident Marbella welcomed Sir Rod Stewart for the first time. At 78, the British legend revisited six decades of rock, soul and ballads at the Nagüeles quarry.

"We are having a great holiday in Marbella with our kids. We have two more days here, but it has been brilliant. People have been lovely to us, thank you so much", he confessed on stage. With over 250 million records sold, ten number-one albums and knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2016, Stewart took the Auditorium accompanied by twelve backing vocalists, strings, harp, keyboards, guitars and drums.

An anthology setlist and an encore with daughter Ruby

He opened with "Addicted to Love" and rolled through "Some Guys Have All the Luck", "I Don't Want to Talk About It", "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy", "Sailing" and "Maggie May". Emotion peaked with "It Takes Two", a tribute to his old friend Tina Turner, and when he invited his daughter Ruby on stage for "Forever Young": "It's a party here! I'm working, but all my family is here tonight".
