Vicente Amigo
Vicente Amigo, master of the Spanish guitar, dazzled Starlite Occident Marbella on August 19, 2023, with his virtuoso flamenco and the warmth of his Cordoban guitar.
The virtuoso heir of Camarón trained with Merengue
Flamenco returned to the Starlite Occident Marbella Auditorium with the master of the Spanish guitar, Vicente Amigo. Virtuoso of this art, he is one of the most recognised tocaores of his generation. The prominent guitarist born in Seville and raised in Córdoba has been composing and perfecting his technique since the 80s. He began training with Merengue de Córdoba and Juan Muñoz "El Tomate". At 15 he already toured internationally in the Netherlands and had the luck to collaborate with Camarón de la Isla on "Soy Gitano". "I'm very happy and excited to play here, in the land of my friend Antonio Banderas and at this festival that is so important worldwide".
De Mi Corazón al Aire and curiosity for other genres
Vicente Amigo holds great recognition with his albums "De Mi Corazón al Aire", "Vivencias Imaginadas" and "Poeta". He stands out for his strong curiosity with other genres, a versatility that has taken him to collaborate with musicians like Stanley Jordan, João Bosco and John McLaughlin. "Music moves through boundless fields and all can be united with respect, rigour and knowledge," he affirms. The show presented a selection of his most recognised hits: "Solo", "Amoralí", "Sevilla", "Roma" and "Estación Primavera", moving the audience with his sublime technique.
TERS at Sessions and familiar faces
The audience included Antonio José, Balthazar Gravier, José Salazar (Los Chunguitos), Yotuel, Arancha del Sol and Finito de Córdoba, and Adrián Martín. They closed the night dancing with TERS at the Sessions space, joined by Victoria Federica, the influencer couple María García de Jaime and Tomás Páramo, and Alejandra Prat. TERS, alter ego of young Gonzalo Tamames, embodies bold creativity fluctuating from trap to indie, electronic and acoustic ballads.
With Vicente Amigo, Starlite Occident Marbella confirms its Auditorium as an international home for the great masters of flamenco guitar who dialogue with the world's music from Andalusia.
