Antonio José
Antonio José lit up Starlite Occident Marbella on August 6, 2024, with an unforgettable sold out, Miguel Poveda's surprise stage appearance and Taína Gravier's Spanish debut mentored by the Cordoban.
The Cordoban's fifth consecutive appearance at the festival
Antonio José's fifth consecutive appearance at Starlite Occident Marbella has cemented him as one of the artists most loved by the festival's audience. With a fully sold-out Auditorium, the Cordoban —prophet in his own land— returned to Marbella with his "Tour El Pacto 2024" show. A tour whose name comes from his most recent record and also from that pact the singer-songwriter has maintained with his fans since the beginning. Dressed in an orange suit, he burst through the crowd singing "Hoy no estás sola". "It's a privilege to sing on the world's best stage, in this cantera that I love and that makes me so happy," he greeted.
Miguel Poveda surprise with El Plan and Taína's Spanish debut
To the audience's great surprise, Miguel Poveda appeared on stage to perform with Antonio José "El Plan", a collaboration they sealed by composing together. "We're talking about one of the greatest people in this country. Absolute perfection, charisma and art from all sides," Antonio José said when presenting him. There was also another big guest: Taína, daughter of supermodel Valeria Mazza, made her Spanish stage debut mentored by Antonio José. Together they performed "Lo que hará mi boca". "She's talented, and has the shine and drive of someone starting out," the Cordoban said.
La noche perfecta and Oro Viejo by DJ Nano
Antonio José also alternated tracks from his latest record with anthems from a career backed by more than 1.4 billion streams, 15 Gold and 13 Platinum records. "Me haces falta", "Tú me obligaste" with Cali y el Dandee, "Tengo un Corazón", "Solo dime", "Me equivocaré" and "Ya se me olvidó" with Denise Rosenthal rang out. He closed with "La noche perfecta", the bachata that filled dance floors in 2023. "Starlite Occident is the world's biggest festival," he said. After the concert, DJ Nano led the most awaited party at Sessions with "Oro Viejo", the greatest tribute to electronic music of all time.
With Antonio José, Starlite Occident Marbella reaffirms its Auditorium as an artistic home for the flamenquito and Andalusian pop names that have received the most love from the festival's audience.
