Luis Miguel closed his Spanish tour at Starlite Occident Marbella with three sold-out nights on July 31, August 2 and 3, 2024, the last and most intimate dates of the 'Luis Miguel Tour 2024' after six years away from Spain.
Three historic nights after six years away from Spain
After six years away from Spanish stages, Luis Miguel chose Starlite Occident Marbella to celebrate the last three concerts in Spain of his long-awaited "Luis Miguel Tour 2024", the most intimate and close-up dates of his world tour. The "Sun" of Mexico, at 54 and with an elegant silhouette, opened each night with the danceable hit "Será que no me amas", a cover of "Blame It On The Boogie" originally by the Jackson 5. His commanding stage presence was reinforced by an imposing band of winds, strings and percussion, along with a trio of backing vocalists who accompanied his sublime performance.

The Luis Miguel Tour 2024 repertoire commemorates more than four decades of career. After the funk-tinged opening that pays tribute to the Jackson Five, hits followed like "Amor, amor, amor", "Suave", "Culpable o no", "Te necesito", "Hasta que me olvides" and "Dame". The bolero stretch was one of the most anticipated with "Por debajo de la mesa", "No sé tú", "Como yo te amé", "Solamente una vez" and "Somos novios". Technology enabled memorable duets: "Sonríe" with Michael Jackson on screen and "Come Fly With Me" alongside Frank Sinatra. Then a mariachi band burst in with "La Bikina" and "La media vuelta". "¡Marbella!", he shouted at the close of the third night.

The three nights gathered international faces in the front row. Alongside Paloma Cuevas, sisters Victoria and Cristina Iglesias; Antonio Banderas and Nicole Kimpel —who took home drumsticks from the orchestra as a souvenir—; Margarita Vargas and Luis Alfonso de Borbón; Olivia de Borbón and Julián Porras. Also Feliciano López and Sandra Gago, Óscar Martínez and Marina Borensztein, Valeria Mazza and Alejandro Gravier, Cayetana Guillén-Cuervo and Omar Ayyashi, Carla Pereyra, former Mexican president Felipe Calderón, Carlos Vives, Chucho Valdés, Stefanía Roitman, Pupi Zanetti, Amaury Nolasco and Michael Costello. The night closed with "La incondicional", "La chica del bikini azul", "Isabel" or "Cuando calienta el sol".
With Luis Miguel, Starlite Occident Marbella signs one of the most important milestones in its history: the three-night run with which the most influential artist of Hispanic music said goodbye to Spain under the stars.
