Taburete celebrated ten years on the road at Starlite Occident Marbella on August 12, 2024, with their seventh consecutive appearance at the festival, a burst of catchy pop with their most sung-along classics.
Seventh consecutive appearance of a festival classic
Willy Bárcenas and Antón Carreño, under the name of Altramuz and Taburete, could hardly have imagined when they started playing in restaurants and small venues in Madrid that they would become a duo of national success with thousands of followers. They signed their seventh consecutive appearance at the Starlite Occident Marbella Auditorium. "How exciting to be here one more year. I remember when we arrived for the first time in 2018. We walked around Marbella and saw our posters next to all the big names who have played here, and we were amazed. Eight years on, still being on this stage with this Auditorium full is a privilege. Truly thank you," said Willy Bárcenas.
Matadero 5 and the classics of a decade-long career
The concert is part of the Matadero 5 tour —named after their fifth studio album released in 2022— a burst of good vibes and catchy pop. Classics from their debut album "Tres Tequilas" (2015) rang out, like the intimate "Mariposas", performed by the vocalist among the audience; the catchy "Walter Palmeras" and "Amos del Piano Bar". As declared fans of Mexican music, they also performed Mexico-influenced songs like "México D.F.". Of course, the latest singles from "Matadero 5" like "Roto y Elegante", "La Discoteca" or "Penúltimo Beso" with Miguel Campello. The final stretch included emblematic tracks like "Caminito a Motel" or the iconic "Sirenas".

Dressed casually as usual and bursting with energy, Willy Bárcenas and Antón Carreño left no inch of stage unused. Victoria Federica, Amaia Salamanca, Rosauro Varo, Manuel Martos, Dani García and Loreto Sesma —the vocalist's partner— were among the familiar faces enjoying the experience. After the concert, Lérica —formed by Cádiz natives Tony Mateo and Juan Carlos Aranza— put the final touch at the Sessions stage with their more Latin and flamenco-tinged pop, turning the cantera into a great summer party.
With Taburete, Starlite Occident Marbella confirms its Auditorium as home to the great names of Spanish pop who have grown with the festival to become classics of the Marbella summer.
