The Corrs returned to Starlite Occident Marbella on July 10, 2024, after 8 years, choosing the Auditorium as one of the Irish quartet's only two Spanish stops.
After 8 years, the Corr siblings return to the cantera
The Corrs concert was one of the most awaited of the boutique festival in 2016 when they presented "White Light". Eight years later, the same as without playing in Spain, history repeats itself. The Auditorium overflowed with anticipation: siblings Andrea, Sharon, Caroline and Jim Corr returned with the first of the only two concerts they would offer in Spain that year. "We're really glad to be back at Starlite Occident. It's wonderful to be back in this beautiful, very unique and impressive place. Yesterday we came to see Keane, and it was amazing," Jim Corr greeted cheerfully. Germain, the female Australian band as guest, played the first musical note.
Only When I Sleep, What Can I Do and Irish folk-pop
With Andrea on lead vocals and piano, Sharon on violin, Caroline on drums and Jim on guitar, the quartet started a repertoire that delighted the audience. Since their 1995 debut with "Forgiven Not Forgotten" —multiplatinum in Canada, Ireland, Australia, Spain, New Zealand, Denmark and the UK— they swept with over 40 million in sales. They proved a perfect formula: traditional Irish music, pop-rock doses and a folk pinch. "Only when I sleep", "Give Me A Reason", "Summer Sunshine" or the eternal "What Can I Do" were some of the songs performed.
Runaway, Breathless and the international hits repertoire
They followed with "Runaway", "So Young", "Radio" and "Breathless", a repertoire of hits with which the Irish quartet has filled stages around half the world. The Corrs invited everyone to enjoy an exciting walk through their successful and broad career. After the concert, the festival turned its Sessions space into a great open-air nightclub with a fun afterparty to the rhythm of the best resident DJs, where to star in the best summer nights in Marbella under the stars.
With The Corrs, Starlite Occident Marbella reaffirms its Auditorium as a unique Spanish destination for the great international pop-folk names choosing the festival for their most awaited returns.
