ARCHIVE/Marbella 2024
Vanesa Martin
Vanesa Martín signed two nights at Starlite Occident Marbella on June 29 and August 20, 2024, choosing the festival as two of the only six summer stops and closing her tour with her sisters-in-law on stage.
Only six summer stops and two at Starlite Occident Marbella
Singer-songwriter Vanesa Martín, in the middle of composing a new record, programmed only six exclusive concerts in summer 2024, two of which were at the Starlite Occident Marbella Auditorium. June 29 was the first of these unmissable dates, and August 20 was the second, closing her tour. A unique experience the Marbella audience will remember as unrepeatable. "I feel the great family that Starlite Occident is. I'm very comfortable here and I feel at home. I love the energy of this festival. I don't want to leave," the artist from Málaga said, and also recognised: "When I come as audience, I enjoy magically. Here you have the chance to see the artist and feel them very close."
Polvo de Mariposas, Complicidad and the greatest hits
With more than 15 years on the road, between emotion, conversation and laughter, she infected the cantera with her desire to have a good time. Vanesa revisited great hits like "Frenar enero" (2014), "Complicidad" (2016) with Colombian Manuel Medrano, "Polvo de Mariposas" (2014), "Te has perdido" (2016) considered a work of art by her fans, "Y vuelo", "Inventas" or "No te pude retener". Her most popular songs lived alongside tracks from "Placeres y Pecados" (2022), her most recent album, Latin Grammy nominee for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album, with titles like "Punto y Coma", "Cuando no estabas" or "Si pudiera", her collaboration with Mexican siblings Jesse & Joy.
Sisters-in-law on stage and Robin Schulz closing the night
Vanesa Martín had a very special surprise: "Tonight I've invited my sisters-in-law on stage. They are not singers, but at home we always end up singing. The first time I brought them on stage was right here, at Starlite Occident, last year. Today, as it's tour closing, I wanted them with me again," she confessed. Considered one of the leading female artists in Spain and Latin America, she closed her last summer show acclaimed and cheered. After the concert, DJ Robin Schulz delivered a powerful afterparty at Sessions with his house, electro and pop mixes. Sonsoles Ónega, Carmen Lomana, María Casado and Jorge Redondo enjoyed the experience.
With Vanesa Martín, Starlite Occident Marbella confirms its Auditorium as home to the Málaga-born singer-songwriters who have grown with the festival and choose its stage for the most intimate milestones of their tours.
