Ana Belén returned to the stage at Starlite Occident Marbella on July 31, 2025, with intact elegance and a setlist that is already part of the history of Spanish-language music.
A living legend returns to the stage
Ana Belén stepped onto the Starlite Occident Marbella stage with the elegance of someone who has nothing to prove and yet much to share. At 74, the artist turned Marbella into an intimate living room, where every song felt like a piece of our country's living memory. Born in Madrid in 1951 as María del Pilar Cuesta Acosta, she is one of the most prominent figures of Spanish culture, with a career spanning more than five decades as actress, singer and director. In the 70s and 80s she became an essential voice of singer-songwriter music, solo and alongside Víctor Manuel.

"It had been six years since I'd been up on stage singing, and I felt the need to meet you all like this again. Thank you very much, Starlite Occident, for this night of glory," she said. She opened with "Solo le pido a Dios", making clear that some songs keep resonating with the same force no matter how much time passes. "La Puerta de Alcalá", "Peces de Ciudad", "Contamíname" and "Agapimú" were sung on their feet by a devoted audience. Dressed in orange, with the smile of someone enjoying every note, Ana Belén was close and warm, sharing anecdotes and reflections. She has been honoured with a Goya de Honor, Medalla de Oro al Mérito en las Bellas Artes and a Latin Grammy for Musical Excellence.
New songs, Miguel Poveda and a surrendered farewell
There was also room for the new. Ana Belén presented several songs from her upcoming album, like "Que no hablen en mi nombre" and "Cinecittà", pieces showing she still watches the world with curiosity and courage. Among the crowd were familiar faces like Miguel Poveda and Charo Vega. The night closed with a Starlite Occident Marbella at her feet, aware of having lived a concert that cannot be forgotten. After the concert, the cantera continued to the beat of DJ Nano.
With Ana Belén, Starlite Occident Marbella reaffirms its Auditorium as the natural stage for the most anticipated returns of the voices that have shaped the history of Spanish-language music.
