The Starlite Occident Marbella Auditorium lived one of summer's most intense nights with Beret's return. The Sevillian artist delivered a live show packed with emotion, generational anthems and total connection with his audience. With more than five million monthly Spotify listeners, he has become one of the most recognised voices in Spanish-language pop. From his beginnings sharing home-made tracks on social networks to filling the country's biggest venues, his evolution has been meteoric. His style, halfway between urban pop and reggae, has reached younger generations thanks to lyrics that speak without filters about love, loss, hope and uncertainty.
Liane mentored and Si por mí fuera opening the night
The magic of Starlite Occident Marbella shone even before the first note. Liane, the young Canarian artist who won the Sonora contest —with Sandra García-Sanjuán as jury president— opened the concert as opening act, fulfilling a dream kept for years: sharing the stage with Beret, whom she had met five years earlier at the Operación Triunfo Academy. "For me it's a dream come true, and I now understand why everyone says dreams come true at Starlite Occident," she confessed. Then came Beret, opening with "Si por mí fuera" and making clear his thing is not just music: it's a way of telling what many people feel.
Te echo de menos, Superhéroe and Oro Viejo by DJ Nano
For an hour and a half, songs like "Me llama", "Cóseme", "Dime quién ama de verdad" and "Te echo de menos" filled the night, alternated with personal confessions, thanks and reflections. Some of his most viral tracks like "Porfa no te vayas", "Sueño" and "Superhéroe" also rang out. Victoria Federica, Rodrigo Moreno de Borbón and the Duchess of Cardona, Rosario Mohedano, Zayra Gutiérrez and Ramón Calderón, former Real Madrid president, were in the crowd. After the concert, Starlite Occident Marbella switched to party mode with a new edition of Oro Viejo by DJ Nano.
With Beret, Starlite Occident Marbella confirms its Auditorium as a space where the most honest music of Spanish pop finds the stage and audience it deserves.
