Fangoria + Nancys Rubias

Date: 23 AugVenue: Marbella

Fangoria and Nancys Rubias crowned themselves the glam kings at Starlite Occident Marbella on August 23, 2025, with a sold-out night that filled the Auditorium with electropop, glitter and irreverent pop.

Nancys Rubias open with glam, humour and attitude

If there is a band that knows how to lift a crowd, that is Fangoria. Starlite Occident Marbella turned into a temple of irreverent pop with Alaska at the front and Nancys Rubias as the regular high priests of excess. Electropop, glitter, wigs and attitude — what started as a concert ended as a full-blown party. First, Nancys Rubias. Mario Vaquerizo and his band put together a show where everything fits: impossible wigs, gravity-defying platforms and a humour as kitsch as it is characteristic. Since 2004, this glam-pop band has turned provocation into a religion with hits like "Peluquitas", "Me encanta" or "Alfabeto Nancy".

Fangoria: A quién le importa, Ni tú ni nadie, Dramas y comedias

Then, Fangoria. Or, in other words: Alaska and Nacho Canut, two names who have been dictating the rules of Spanish electronic pop for more than three decades. Born in 1989 after Alaska y Dinarama parted ways, Fangoria turned rarity into a flag long before hashtags existed. "A quién le importa", "Ni tú ni nadie", "Dramas y comedias"… are not songs, they are cultural slogans. And they all rang out, with a visual display worthy of a deluxe rave. Opening with "Carne, huesos y tú" made it clear they were not here to stroll. "You're nobody if you're not part of the Starlite family," Mario joked.

Mario Vaquerizo DJ, authorities and international faces

Hits came in abundance, not only from Fangoria but also great hits of their previous bands: "Retorciendo palabras", "Cómo pudiste hacerme esto a mí" or "Perlas ensangrentadas". Alaska, magnetic, changed her look like someone changes a filter. Later, Mario Vaquerizo crowned the party with a DJ Set at Sessions. The crowd included Paula Echevarría, Carmen Lomana, rapper Elio Toffana, former Mexican president Felipe Calderón, Costa del Sol Tourism president Francisco Salado and Marbella's mayor María Ángeles Muñoz, enjoying one of the most memorable nights of the edition.

With Fangoria and Nancys Rubias, Starlite Occident Marbella confirms that its Auditorium can be the perfect temple for the most irreverent electronic pop and Spanish pop culture at its most festive.
