Guitarricadelafuente dazzled in his Starlite Occident Marbella debut on August 7, 2025, with an intimate, magnetic show that fused roots, electronics and artisan aesthetic around 'Spanish Leather'.
The artist reinventing folklore from Aragón
Álvaro Lafuente, known as Guitarricadelafuente, has built a career based on risk, detail and a very personal vision of folklore. His second album, "Spanish Leather", is proof of it: a work combining desire, identity and contradiction, between the visceral and the poetic, with a raw production that lets the word breathe and weigh. His most-listened single, "Guantanamera", is inspired by Cuevas de Cañart, the tiny Aragonese village where he spent his childhood summers. His music has translated his generation's tensions into songs where skin, voice and silence carry as much weight as the lyrics.
Spanish Leather live: a contemporary ritual
In his Starlite Occident Marbella debut, Guitarricadelafuente held nothing back. He took the stage like someone who knows he is going to leave a mark. He opened with "Full Time Papi", a track that sums up the spirit of "Spanish Leather": no halfway commitment. The set moved between new and known. From "BABIECA!" to "Guantanamera", through that unexpected remix of "Port Pelegrí" that lit up the Auditorium. Between songs, the artist needed no big speeches: his body, his staging and his way of singing spoke for him. Álvaro turned the cantera into a contemporary ritual, between party and catharsis.
Hermanos Martínez at Sessions and familiar faces
Among the audience, familiar faces like Victoria Federica, Willy Bárcenas, Loreto Sesma, Paula Ordovás and Antonio Díaz (Mago Pop) enjoyed the show. After the Auditorium concert, it was time for Hermanos Martínez at the Sessions stage. In their debut, the band presented "Súbete el Volumen" with contagious energy and no artifice. Álvaro, Borja and Jaime connected with a generation looking for honest, sing-along songs, turning tracks like "Canalla", "Vals" or "Para qué me escribes" into shared anthems.
With Guitarricadelafuente, Starlite Occident Marbella reaffirms its Auditorium as a space for the artists rewriting folklore from a deeply contemporary perspective.
