Il Divo celebrated their 20-year career at Starlite Occident Marbella on July 25, 2025, with XX, their new album, in an emotional night that marked their fifth appearance at the boutique festival.
Twenty years of the world's most successful pop-opera
Il Divo returned to Starlite Occident Marbella with a clear purpose: celebrating 20 years on the road by sharing what they do best — singing from the soul. The cantera became the perfect stage to revisit two decades of hits and look forward with "XX", their new record. "Thank you, Starlite Occident. This night has had a unique magic for celebrating our 20 years. This festival feels like family," the artists said. They had performed at the festival on four previous occasions, and this fifth visit reaffirmed their special bond with the event.
Crazy, Perfect and the new Despertar sin ti
With more than 30 million records sold and a career that has turned them into a worldwide reference for pop-opera, Urs Bühler, David Miller, Sébastien Izambard and Steven LaBrie —who joined after the loss of Carlos Marín— showed they remain in full vocal and emotional form. During the concert they reinterpreted anthems like "Crazy", "All by myself", "Power of love" and "Perfect", the last one becoming one of the night's most celebrated surprises. There was also space for "Despertar sin ti", the album's only original composition, confirming Il Divo not only covers, but also creates.
Honest connection and familiar faces at the anniversary
Beyond the setlist, there was honest connection with the audience. They spoke, looked, thanked. You could tell they live what they sing, that they are not passing through nor repeating a formula. Among the crowd, familiar faces like Nacho Cano, model Lidia Santos and actor Adrián Pedraja enjoyed the group's anniversary at the festival. After the concert, the cantera turned into a true party with an unforgettable Pool Party: non-stop dancing, beach looks and big hits marked an epic night.
With Il Divo, Starlite Occident Marbella reaffirms itself as the emotional home of the groups celebrating their most important anniversaries in front of the audience that has watched them grow.
