India Martínez
India Martínez shone again at Starlite Occident Marbella on August 21, 2025, with a new sold out, blending flamenco roots, Latin rhythms and pop around her new album 'Aguachile'.
The Cordoban voice uniting flamenco, pop and Latin rhythms
India Martínez shone again at Starlite Occident Marbella, proving why she is one of the most recognisable and beloved voices in Spanish music. The Cordoban delivered a show that united flamenco roots, Latin rhythms and pop, with a repertoire combining essential classics and new songs from her latest record, "Aguachile". With nine studio albums, several gold and platinum certifications and Latin Grammy nominations, India Martínez has earned a unique place in Spanish music through discipline and talent. "Coming to Starlite Occident is being in family, with my people, at home," she said.
Aguachile, Borrachita perdía and duets with Will Smith
A festival veteran, India also recalled how the previous year she attended the Starlite Gala and met Will Smith: "Magical things always happen here. When he asked me for the collaboration I thought I was dreaming. In four days we were already composing and recording together in the studio". The evening opened with "Se me olvidó otra vez" and quickly made clear the setlist would not give a break. Songs like "Castigo" or "Como una bala" alternated with "5 sentíos" or "La gitana", in which India sat again at the cajón. The most festive moment came with "Borrachita perdía", toasting with the audience in a gesture of complicity.
Si ella supiera, Aguasanta and a final DJ Nano
Her great hits were all there: "Si ella supiera", "Corazón hambriento", "Olvidé respirar", "Loco", "90 minutos" and "Vencer al amor" were sung from start to finish. In the encores, "Aguasanta" and "Obsesión" closed the musical part with India stepping off stage to sing surrounded by her people, in one of the night's most emotional images. The concert gathered familiar faces like Victoria de Marichalar and singer Santi Vancells (Hey Kid). The party didn't end there: DJ Nano took over to deliver his last summer afterparty at the festival.
With India Martínez, Starlite Occident Marbella reaffirms its Auditorium as a home for the Andalusian voices weaving flamenco, pop and Latin with closeness as a signature.
