Los Secretos
Los Secretos conquered Starlite Occident Marbella on August 14, 2025, with a complete journey through more than four decades of Spanish pop-rock and the classics that are part of collective memory.
Four decades of melodic pop at the Marbella cantera
Starlite Occident Marbella lived one of those unforgettable nights. Los Secretos, one of the most influential bands of Spanish pop-rock, arrived in Marbella with their unmistakable signature: a sound that has held strong for more than four decades and still moves the audience as on day one. Formed in the late 70s, Los Secretos became one of Spain's musical references thanks to a melodic pop that has weathered trends and eras. With Álvaro Urquijo at the front, alongside Ramón Arroyo and Txetxu Altube on guitars, Juanjo Ramos on bass, Jesús Redondo on piano and Santi Fernández on drums.
OM Domínguez opens and Déjame, Pero a tu lado light up the night
True to its commitment to new talents, Starlite Occident Marbella again opened its stage to up-and-coming names. This time the opener was OM Domínguez, a young Canarian artist who won the Sonora contest. Then, Los Secretos opened with "María", "Dos caras distintas" and "La calle del olvido", three anthems that lit up the crowd from the very first chord. Each song became a dialogue between stage and stands, with an Auditorium singing every verse as its own. There was no missing songs like "Pero a tu lado", "Échame a mí la culpa", "Y no amanece", "Bulevar" or "Gracias por elegirme".
Tribute to Enrique and Sobre un vidrio mojado to close
One of the most emotional moments came with Álvaro's tribute to his brother Enrique: "We're very aware that without my brother Enrique's songs this wonderful audience might not have been so loyal. It's possible," he said, before performing "Aunque tú no lo sepas". The final stretch was pure energy. "Sobre un vidrio mojado" and "Déjame" got the whole audience on its feet. Familiar faces like Paula Echevarría, Makoke, Arancha de Benito, Casilda Guerrero Burgos and Rodrigo Moreno de Borbón did not want to miss Los Secretos at Starlite Occident Marbella.
With Los Secretos, Starlite Occident Marbella confirms that its Auditorium is the natural stage where Spanish melodic pop still rings out with the intact strength of day one.
