Pet Shop Boys
Pet Shop Boys took over Starlite Occident Marbella on July 16, 2025, with their 'Dreamworld: The Greatest Hits Live' tour and an absolute sold out, walking through four decades of electronic pop.
The British duo returns for their third Starlite night
Pet Shop Boys once again conquered the Starlite Occident Marbella stage with their "Dreamworld: The Greatest Hits Live" tour, sold out and delivering a unique visual and sonic experience. With more than 50 million records sold, Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe need no introduction: they are one of the most successful British duos in history, achieved without betraying their style or bowing to trends. Since breaking through in 1985, they have piled up 22 UK Top 10 singles. "It's the third time we play Starlite Occident, and it gets better every time," they said on stage, after their 2014 and 2018 visits.
Dreamworld: a millimetre-perfect exhibition
Their current tour is the first true greatest-hits run, an ecstatic journey that has stopped at Glastonbury, Roskilde and the Royal Arena. In Marbella they deployed that same formula: sharp setlist, contained theatricality and a stage design embracing the industrial and conceptual. From the opening chords of "Suburbia", the pace never dropped. "Rent", "Domino Dancing", "It's a Sin", "Heart", "Paninaro", "Dreamland" and "West End Girls" worked as time capsules, as powerful as on day one. The trademark mashups and historic duets like "What Have I Done to Deserve This?" were not missing.
RedOne and familiar faces in a legendary night
Closing with "Being Boring" and "West End Girls" was more than a finale: it was a reminder that nostalgia, when well executed, is not the past but permanence. The crowd included RedOne, one of the most influential producers on the global music scene —behind hits for Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez— along with familiar faces like Fran Rivera, Laura Madrueño, Valeria Mazza, Barbara and Nicole Kimpel. After the concert, the night continued to the beat of DJ Nano.
With Pet Shop Boys, Starlite Occident Marbella reaffirms why its Auditorium is one of the stages chosen by the great British pop legends for their most exclusive tours.
