Texas

Date: 11 AugVenue: Marbella

Texas signed a magical night at Starlite Occident Marbella on August 11, 2025, with a vibrant run through their great 90s Scottish pop-rock anthems led by Sharleen Spiteri.

Glasgow returns to the cantera with elegance and soul

Starlite Occident Marbella travelled back to the late 90s, the golden age of one of the great Scottish bands of the moment: Texas. The Glasgow group, led by the magnetic Sharleen Spiteri, signed a concert full of attitude, charisma and eternal hits. Texas began their career in 1986 with Sharleen Spiteri on vocals and Johnny McElhone on guitar, in the restless, creative city of Glasgow. They quickly established themselves as one of the most elegant and versatile British bands, fusing pop-rock with soul, blues and country touches. Their true peak came in the late 90s with "White on Blonde" (1997) and "The Hush" (1999).

I Don't Want A Lover, Summer Son and Texas anthems

In Marbella they made it clear from the first song. No detours or long introductions: "I Don't Want A Lover" marked the show's opening and put the crowd on its feet. Sharleen, with her direct style and signature humour, quickly connected with the audience. The concert was an impeccable run through the best of their discography. There was no missing anthems like "Summer Son", "Black Eyed Boy", "Halo", "Inner Smile" or the closing "Say What You Want". There was also room for recent songs like "Hi", "Mr. Haze" or "Keep On Talking". The final touch came with a cover of Elvis Presley's "Suspicious Minds", a band signature.

Pablo Alborán and Inazio close the night

Familiar faces like Pablo Alborán, María José Suárez, Juan Peña and Marilia did not want to miss Texas at Starlite Occident Marbella, enjoying a magical night under the stars. After the Auditorium concert, the Sessions stage welcomed Inazio, one of the most personal emerging voices on the national scene. The Navarra-born artist presented "Música para bailar sobre el agua" with tracks like "Vacío", "Lo que haga falta" and "Norte", confirming why he is one of the most followed names in current indie folk.

With Texas, Starlite Occident Marbella reaffirms its Auditorium as a destination for the great 90s British bands who keep intact the elegance and power of their best years.
