The Beach Boys
The Beach Boys brought the spirit of California to the Starlite Occident Marbella Auditorium on July 28, 2025, with their 'The Sounds of Summer' show and a run through more than six decades of music.
California surf rock returns to the cantera
The Beach Boys brought the spirit of California to the Starlite Occident Marbella stage with a concert packed with classics spanning more than six decades. Mike Love and Bruce Johnston led a night where songs like "Surfin' U.S.A.", "Wouldn't It Be Nice" and "Good Vibrations" were essential. The legendary group, who had already played unforgettable shows at the festival in 2014 and 2019, proved again that their formula still works: an unbeatable setlist, top-tier musicians and an attitude that connects. "It's amazing to be back at Starlite Occident," they said on stage.
Six decades of vocal harmonies in one night
Formed in the early 60s, The Beach Boys became one of the most influential bands of American pop thanks to their vocal harmonies, slice-of-life lyrics and an aesthetic that defined surf culture. With more than 100 million records sold, 33 gold and platinum albums, an induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, their legacy is still alive. Mike Love will this year also be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, in recognition of his contribution to the American songbook.
Kokomo with John Stamos and a Fun, Fun, Fun finale
The cantera concert opened with the nostalgic energy of "Do It Again" and classics like "Catch a Wave", "Surfin' U.S.A." and "Surfer Girl". The night combined intimate moments like "Forever" and "God Only Knows" with pure rhythm and vocal-harmony hits such as "I Get Around", "California Girls" and "Good Vibrations". Special guest John Stamos added presence and complicity on iconic songs like "Kokomo", while the final stretch unleashed the crowd's euphoria with "Barbara Ann" and "Fun, Fun, Fun". In the audience, actress Andrea Guasch did not want to miss the legendary show.
With The Beach Boys, Starlite Occident Marbella reaffirms its Auditorium as one of the stages where the legacy of American pop still sounds with the same freshness.
