The Script
The Script delivered their only Spanish concert at Starlite Occident Marbella on July 19, 2025, with the 'Satellites' tour, bringing thousands of British fans to the Costa del Sol.
The Irish band's only Spanish concert
The Starlite Occident Marbella date was long awaited by The Script fans: the Irish band landed with their only concert in Spain on the "Satellites" tour. With no further chances to see them live this summer, the anticipation translated into overwhelming energy from a packed venue. "What an incredible place this is. What a spectacular venue, and what a beautiful place to play a concert," frontman Danny O'Donoghue celebrated on stage, visibly moved by the warm welcome. Thousands of British fans travelled to the Costa del Sol expressly for the show.
Satellites: tribute to Mark Sheehan and a new chapter
With more than 10 billion streams and 12 million records sold, The Script is one of those bands that combines pop and rock with lyrics that hit deep. Founded in Dublin in 2001, they have left behind anthems like "Hall Of Fame", "The Man Who Can't Be Moved" and "Breakeven". Their latest album, "Satellites", released in 2024, reflects a new chapter after the loss of their founder Mark Sheehan, to whom they dedicated much of the show. "We lost my best friend and family member. That's the reason we've come back to the stage," O'Donoghue said.
Hall of Fame and British faces in the crowd
One of the most intense moments came with "If You Could See Me Now", a direct tribute to Mark that moved everyone. "He would be having a great time here at Starlite Occident, just like I know you are," he said. The closing with the anthems "Breakeven" and "Hall of Fame" was the icing on the cake. Among the audience were familiar faces like English comedian Michael McIntyre and footballers Gary Neville —former Manchester United— and Shay Given, Premier League and Republic of Ireland goalkeeper. After the concert, the cantera gave way to PerreoLab.
With The Script, Starlite Occident Marbella confirms its Auditorium as the destination chosen by the great international bands for their most emotional dates in Spain.
