Tom Jones
Tom Jones chose Starlite Occident Marbella on August 5, 2025, to launch his Spanish tour, confirming that time has only sharpened his stage power and his unmistakable voice.
The Tiger of Wales opens his Spanish tour at the cantera
Starlite Occident Marbella once again enjoyed one of summer's classics: Tom Jones, who shone with a classic repertoire and his unmistakable presence. Sir Tom Jones needs no introduction, but he does deserve context. With more than 100 million records sold and a career spanning six decades, the Welsh singer is one of music history's fundamental names. Songs like "It's Not Unusual", "What's New Pussycat" and "Delilah" are part of the collective imagination, and his vocal ability remains a reference, even today, with more than 80 years behind him.
Delilah, Sex Bomb and Dylan and Cohen covers
At 84, Tom Jones returned to the festival stage to make clear that he is still an absolute live reference and the living crooner par excellence. He opened with "I'm Growing Old", a statement of maturity without drama, before letting loose with classics that still work as on day one: "Delilah", "Sex Bomb", "Green Green Grass of Home" and "It's Not Unusual". Far from limiting himself to his greatest hits, Jones used the show to tell stories and cover songs that have marked his life, like "Tower of Song" by Leonard Cohen or "One More Cup of Coffee" by Dylan.
Besmaya, familiar faces and a night under the stars
Backed by a top-tier band and with a voice that has lost neither strength nor intention, Tom Jones did what only the greats do: turn a concert into something more than a sequence of songs. Celebrities like Paula Echevarría, Gunilla von Bismarck, Cayetana Guillén Cuervo and Valeria Mazza enjoyed the concert. After the show, the Sessions stage welcomed the long-awaited debut of Besmaya, the Madrid duo of Javi Ojan and Javi Echávarri, with their "relaxed pop" and tracks like "Instante", "Tu buen chaval", "El cable" or "El tiempo que paso contigo".
With Tom Jones, Starlite Occident Marbella confirms that its Auditorium is one of the stages chosen by the great living legends of the international crooner scene to launch their Spanish tours.
