Valeria Castro & Natalia Lafourcade
Natalia Lafourcade and Valeria Castro starred on August 2, 2025, in one of the most intimate nights of the XIV edition of Starlite Occident Marbella, two generations of singer-songwriters united by truth.
Two generations of singer-songwriters on one stage
Starlite Occident Marbella hosted one of its most moving nights with a double bill led by Valeria Castro and Natalia Lafourcade. At only 25, Canarian Valeria Castro has become one of the most genuine voices on the national scene. "El cuerpo después de todo", her latest work, is an album of open wounds, courage and songs that caress. Natalia Lafourcade is on another level: songwriter, producer and guardian of Latin music roots with 22 GRAMMY awards in total —including 18 Latin GRAMMY, making her the most awarded woman in the history of these awards—.
Cancionera Tour and El cuerpo después de todo
Lafourcade opened the Auditorium alone with her guitar, her endless black dress and a calm that disarms. Her "Cancionera Tour" marks her return to the stage after several years off, a journey through her classics mixed with new compositions that sound just as timeless. She delighted the crowd with songs like "Hasta la raíz", "Tú sí sabes quererme" and "Nunca es suficiente". Between songs she shared reflections and confidences, including her pregnancy, warmly celebrated. One of the most emotional moments came when she sang "Cómo quisiera quererte" with Valeria Castro.
La soledad, Devota and familiar faces
Then came Valeria Castro, moving the Auditorium with "La soledad", "Tiene que ser más fácil", "Devota" and "Guerrera", in a setlist that honestly travelled through emotion and strength. One of the most special moments was her duet "Debe ser" with Natalia Lafourcade, joining two generations of singer-songwriters. She closed with "La raíz" and "Sobra decirte". Among familiar faces enjoying both talents were Cayetana Guillén Cuervo, Teresa Riott and Valeria Mazza.
With Natalia Lafourcade and Valeria Castro, Starlite Occident Marbella reaffirms its Auditorium as a sacred space for honest music that unites generations of singer-songwriters from the same truth.
