Gente de Zona
Gente de Zona played a sold-out Starlite Occident Marbella on August 5, 2026, in a family night on which Alexander Delgado's son stepped on stage for the first time on his birthday.
From the lounge stage to a full Auditorium
Before the show began, Alexander Delgado brought up his son Ale, who was turning 14, to make his debut in front of the audience at the Nagüeles quarry. "Tonight here is special", Randy Malcom said as he came on. The concert also confirmed a path that began years ago, when the Cuban duo first played the lounge stage at Starlite Occident; since then they have grown edition after edition until selling out the Auditorium.
A tribute to Celia Cruz and words for Cuba and Venezuela
Before performing "Celia", the duo screened a video tribute to Celia Cruz. One of the most intense moments came when a fan threw a Cuban flag to Randy Malcom, who, clearly moved, thanked Spain for welcoming Cubans. The singer then named the countries represented in the audience, from Colombia to Paraguay, and had words for Venezuela after the earthquakes of recent weeks: "My condolences, my people of Venezuela, today we get back up".
Lorena Gómez, "Bailando" and "La Macarena" with fans on stage
"I had never seen a Spanish woman singing salsa. It's like seeing me sing flamenco", Randy Malcom said as he introduced Lorena Gómez, who performed "Iguales y Diferente" with the duo while her partner, René Ramos, watched from the front row. "Bailando", "Gozadera" and "La Macarena" followed, with eight women and a young girl from the audience dancing on stage, along with recent songs such as "Isla Viva". Those attending included Victoria Federica, Enrique Riquelme, Edu Aguirre, Fernando Sanz and Henry Méndez. The farewell: "Thank you Starlite Occident, I love you all very much".
Gente de Zona started out in the lounge and now fill the Auditorium: their night at Starlite Occident Marbella was, above all, a family party.
