Gipsy Kings
Gipsy Kings ft. Nicolas Reyes performed at Starlite Occident Marbella on July 3, 2026. It was the singer's fifth visit to the festival, with a rumba flamenca set that the audience sang and danced to from start to finish.
A fifth visit: "I feel at home"
Nicolas Reyes, son of flamenco singer José Reyes and a founding member of Gipsy Kings, has spent more than four decades taking rumba flamenca to five continents. The band's career includes more than 20 million records sold and a Grammy Award. Midway through the concert, Reyes paused to talk about his relationship with the festival: "When I'm here, I'm comfortable, like at home." The audience answered with an ovation.
From Bamboleo to Volare
The concert opened with "Bamboleo" and continued with "Djobi Djoba", "Un Amor", "Hotel California", "Baila Me", "Bem Bem María", "A Tu Vera", "Yo Soy Aquel" and "Alegría". It closed with "Volare", sung by the whole Auditorium. Clapping, dancing and shared voices turned the quarry into a party that brought together people of many different nationalities.
Five visits in, Gipsy Kings and Nicolas Reyes still find an audience at Starlite Occident Marbella that knows their songs, wherever it comes from.
