Love of Lesbian
Love of Lesbian closed the Starlite Occident Marbella summer programme on August 29, 2026, in the festival's 15th anniversary year, with the tour that precedes their temporary break from the stage.
"El arte de detener el tiempo": a pause after 25 years
The Barcelona band, led by Santi Balmes, brought "El arte de detener el tiempo" to La Cantera, the tour with which they begin a "creative silence" after a quarter of a century together. The group put it this way in their statement: "After 25 years of vans that turned into spaceships and stages that have been our most faithful home, we've decided it's time to watch the stars from the roadside. It isn't a goodbye, but a long 'see you soon'."
From "Ejército de Salvación" to "Club de Fans de John Boy"
The concert opened with "Ejército de Salvación", the title track of their 2023 album, which took the band back to number one in the charts. It continued with songs such as "Bajo el Volcán", "Incendios de Nieve", "1999" and "La Hermandad". The encore brought together "Allí Donde Solíamos Gritar", "Los Irrompibles", "Fantástico" and "Club de Fans de John Boy". Before Marbella, the tour had stopped at Vive Latino in Mexico City and Noches del Botánico in Madrid, among others.
The last concert of the summer at La Cantera
Love of Lesbian's show was the last of the Starlite Occident 2026 summer programme. The venue remained active in September with the first European edition of Premios Juventud, on the 3rd, and Manuel Carrasco's concert, on the 4th.
Love of Lesbian said goodbye to Marbella with a "see you soon", the same one that names their break, on the night that closed the Starlite Occident 2026 summer.
