Taburete
Taburete played the Starlite Occident Marbella Auditorium on August 17, 2026, ten years after their first concert at La Cantera and following the band's first long break.
Ten years with La Cantera
"It's hard to believe: ten years ago we came to Starlite Occident for the first time, and we've only missed one year," Willy Bárcenas said from the stage. Over that decade the band has also played Starlite Occident Madrid. The night came after a pause the group took following years of almost non-stop touring. "A year ago we stopped playing (…) Reality far exceeds fiction, everything we had imagined," the singer said. The return comes with "El perro que fuma", their sixth album, which shows a more personal side of the band.
"Primer Intento", "Walter" and a walk through the crowd
One of the most intimate moments came with "Primer Intento", which Bárcenas dedicated to his partner, Loreto Sesma: "To those of you who are in love… I am, so this one is for Loreto." Later, during "Walter", the singer left the stage and sang surrounded by the audience, in one of the loudest sing-alongs of the concert. The set also included some of the songs that have defined the band's career, played to a full auditorium.
"Torrente Presidente" and the guests of the night
The closing number was "Torrente Presidente", the song Taburete wrote for the latest film in Santiago Segura's saga, in which Sandra García-Sanjuán and Ignacio Maluquer, founders of Starlite Occident, both make cameo appearances. In the audience were David Muñoz of Estopa; actress Amaia Salamanca with Rosauro Varo and their children; Manuel Díaz "El Cordobés"; Alfonso de Borbón with his children; radio host José Ramón de la Morena; Victoria Federica; and also Anita Matamoros and Loreto Sesma.
Taburete's story with Starlite Occident began in Marbella a decade ago, continued in Madrid and added one more chapter in 2026.
