Starlite Occident Marbella will once again welcome one of the most talented, brilliant, and expressive violinists of recent decades, the Lebanese artist Ara Malikian, who will take the stage under the stars once more on Monday, July 27th.

Born in Beirut in 1968 and of Armenian descent, Malikian grew up in the midst of the Lebanese Civil War, finding in the violin a refuge and a source of hope while studying in basements and bomb shelters. His extraordinary talent led him to give his first major concert at just 12 years old and, at 14, to receive a scholarship from the German government to study at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover, later completing his studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.

Since recording his first album in Spain at age 15, he has built a solid international career performing on some of the world’s most prestigious stages. His multicultural identity and his status as an “outsider” have shaped a distinctive style that fuses classical music with genres such as jazz, flamenco, and tango, creating a unique, passionate, and deeply personal musical language that audiences will be able to enjoy on the most magical stage of the summer.
