Gloria Trevi
Gloria Trevi chose the Cantera of Starlite Occident Marbella for her only concert in Europe, on August 24, 2026, more than thirty years after her first performances in Spain.
Back in Spain with "Pelo Suelto"
"I worked incredibly hard to be able to come and sing in Spain. I remember that moment and it really moves me," the Mexican artist said before going on stage, recalling her first steps in the country in 1993. The night opened with "Pelo Suelto", one of the emblems of her early years, in a renewed staging. About her outfit she explained: "I wanted a look that was retro but with a certain evolution. It's a lot like how I dressed in the nineties, but it also carries a lot about the sun, the moon, songs I've written."
Among the audience, with freedom as the thread
Trevi left the stage to sing among the crowd and made her way across the auditorium to the box where Sandra García-Sanjuán and singer Marta Sánchez were sitting. Freedom was the idea running through the concert: "Sometimes we're afraid of freedom because we say 'I'll be left alone, what am I going to do?'. On the contrary, freedom is full of opportunities." As for the passing of time, she said she does not feel it: "Maybe it's because every time I go on stage I have that excitement, those nerves."
"Intensamente", a preview with her sons
The artist previewed "Intensamente", her next single, live, performing it with her sons Miguel Armando and Ángel Gabriel and announcing its release for September. She also recalled her previous visit to Starlite Occident, in 2022, when she shared the stage with Mónica Naranjo to sing "Grande" and the ballad "Para Siempre Triste": "It was really beautiful. We clicked incredibly well." And she described the festival's audience this way: "People are super cool and super nice, they can go crazy and let their hair down."
One European date in 2026, and Gloria Trevi spent it at Starlite Occident Marbella: "Ready to give it all, and to receive it too."
