The Madrid-born artist fuses flamenco, reggaeton and trap in a vibrant, unforgettable show
Omar Montes stepped into the Starlite Occident 2024 ring and left to thunderous applause. With his signature energy and charisma, the Madrid artist delivered one of the festival’s boldest performances, blending infectious beats with an unmistakable urban flamenco flair.
Since his 2021 debut—immortalized in his documentary El Principito es Omar Montes—the singer had dreamt of returning to this stage. “Performing at Starlite Occident means the world to me. Thank you to everyone who came—without you, I wouldn’t be here,” he shared with heartfelt emotion.

Throughout the night, Omar delivered a powerful setlist mixing early hits like “Alocao”, “La Rubia (Remix 2)”, “Prendío” and “Japoni” with newer tracks from his latest album “Lágrimas de un maleante”. The record earned him a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Flamenco Artist, celebrating his bold exploration of styles like rumbas, bulerías, sevillanas and tanguillos.
The Auditorium roared with energy during crowd-favorite collaborations and his latest single, “El Más Chulo de España”. A standout moment came when he performed “El Pantalón” with Sara of Las Chuches, followed by the exclusive premiere of his unreleased track “Churel”, joined on stage by Fabbio, Samueliyo Baby, Nickzzy, Oscar El Ruso and Samuel G.
Track after track, Omar proved why he’s a one-of-a-kind performer: bold, genuine and master of genre fusion. From the streets of Carabanchel to the international stage, Montes stood tall with the power of a boxer and the soul of an urban flamenco singer.
The night, attended by familiar faces like Sergio Scariolo, Blanca Ares, Joe Pérez Bonilla, Raúl Berdonés and Laura Gómez-Acebo Ponte, was yet another showcase of the diversity and excellence that define Starlite Occident.
