Legendary hard rock and a journey through six decades under Marbella’s stars
Starlite Occident 2025 hosted one of its most powerful nights with the concert by Scorpions, the legendary German band celebrating six decades on stage before a packed auditorium. With over 110 million records sold, Klaus Meine, Rudolf Schenker, Matthias Jabs, Mikkey Dee and Pawel Maciwoda delivered a no-frills, straight-to-the-point performance.

Opening with “Coming Home”, the setlist blended recent tracks like “Gas in the Tank” with timeless hits such as “Make It Real”, “The Zoo” and “Coast to Coast”. The most sung-along moment came with “I’m Leaving You” and “Bad Boys Running Wild”, from the iconic Love at First Sting, celebrating its 40th anniversary. The finale, with “Big City Lights”, “Blackout” and “Rock You Like a Hurricane”, unleashed pure euphoria.
Without lengthy speeches but with flawless audience connection, Meine paced his vocals masterfully while the band showcased their experience and strength. Mikkey Dee shone with an applauded drum solo, and Matthias Jabs reaffirmed his status as an iconic guitarist.
Among the audience were Barbara and Nicole Kimpel, enjoying a night that is now part of the festival’s history.
