After more than two decades away from the stage, Will Smith made his debut at Starlite Occident 2025 with his show An Evening with Will Smith, a vibrant and deeply personal journey through his music, films and life. The actor, rapper and producer turned the Auditorium into an intergenerational celebration filled with rhythm, emotion and memories.
The story of this tour was born at the Starlite Gala 2024, where Smith admitted he was captivated by the festival’s energy: “I was here last year, at the Starlite Gala, and I was so overwhelmed by how beautiful this place is that I begged Sandra to let me come back to perform at the festival this year”. Yesterday, he fulfilled that promise with an unforgettable performance.
The show was more than a concert: it was an intimate journey through his career, from his beginnings with DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince to solo hits like Big Willie Style and Willennium, along with nods to his Hollywood blockbusters such as Independence Day, Men in Black and The Pursuit of Happyness. Emotional highlights included a heartfelt tribute to Uncle Phil from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and the iconic Carlton dance, which had fans dancing on stage.
With humor, warmth and switching between English and Spanish, Will Smith connected with every generation: he danced with fans, recreated TikTok trends with his track Anxiety and split the audience into singing teams for a rousing chorus. One of the most moving moments came when he raised his Oscar for King Richard and confessed: “The last few years have been difficult for me. I haven’t had the chance to celebrate this Oscar, and I want to share it with you tonight”.
Among the audience were Valeria Mazza, Barbara and Nicole Kimpel, Daniel Arias and Rocío López, all enjoying a night that has already become part of the festival’s history.
